Chef Alyson Jessee’s Story:
Growing up, I was always in the kitchen with my Mom and Grandmothers. They have been my greatest teachers. I followed their lead in the kitchen, chopping veggies, stirring stews, and rolling out pie crusts. I have cooked alongside home chefs here in the U.S., Canada, West Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean, South Pacific, and Europe. I’ve learned to cook through observation, curiosity, and experience. I love to cook, it feeds me to feed others! Food is medicine, it is nourishment, it is love, it is life.

While I cook, I think of the people I am cooking for. It has been said, that people can taste the care I’ve put into the food. In my opinion, there is a different depth of nourishment that comes from food cooked at home. I’ve noticed how different food tastes when you have a connection to the person that is cooking it. My love for cooking, passion for exploring new foods and flavors, and the enjoyment of nourishing people inspired me to start my own business cooking for others.
